PARTY

Peace Lutheran is passionate about keeping our high school youth connected to Christ, the church and God's people after they have been confirmed. We have a Central College Youth Volunteers that work with our Youth Coordinator, Sherry Maakestad, to offer weekly, monthly, and yearly activities and ministries that are all about helping young people on their life journey to keep looking to Jesus as the Author and Perfector of their faith and their life.

PARTY (Peace Actively Reaching Today's Youth) meets each Wednesday when school is in session throughout the school year from 7:00 to 8:30 pm in the Youth Basement, and the games will be open and supervised until 9:00 pm. Each week the PARTY youth will hear about Jesus and look to His Word in relevant and relational ways, have some fun together, and also be the hands and feet for Jesus through a variety of monthly service projects.

High School Sunday school meets weekly as well under the teaching of Ben & Steph Bollard, Kenneth & Teri Ryerson. They also meet in the Youth Basement during the Education Hour, 9:30-10:30 am and DONUTS/ROLLS FROM VANDERPLOEG BAKERY ARE SERVED TO ALL!

Peace also sponsers a yearly off-site overnight retreat for High School youth.

Each summer Peace sponsers a high school service learning trip or a National Youth Gathering Event. This summer a group of Peace high school youth along with Pastor Kinkel will attend the National Youth Gathering in New Orleans from July 18-22. Save the dates!

Two youth from each high school grade are chosen at the beginning of the school year to serve on a Youth Leadership Team. They meet every few months to share ideas, encourage one another in Christian leadership, and to help the Youth Adults plan upcoming activities. This year's leadership team is: Trevor Argo, Colin Jones, Kayla Bentz, Jordan Pingel, Sierra Hrdlicka, and Caitie Hones.
