- Complete the following project phases to align with project budget and minimum of 12,250 sq ft for our initial building plan:
- design development
- construction drawings
- construction bids
- determine guaranteed maximum cost of project
- Finalize loan amount that can be used for project budget and secure loan
- Finalize sale terms of current properties
- Finalize project budget (sale amount + fundraising amount + loan amount)
- Present motion to sell properties and begin construction
- Complete faith raising pledge phase
- Hold silent auction and family BBQ

Winter 2006/2007
- Finalized contract with BC for final site and building design work and construction of new facilities
- Researched loan options including ELCA's Mission Investment Fund loan process
- Developed project budget and cost analysis tools to help make decisions and recommendations
- Developed negotiation strategies for sale of our buildings and properties
- Completed schematic design development phase of project
- Held fundraising silent auction and family BBQ
- Began receiving contributions based on pledge commitments
Summer/Fall 2006
- Received offer to buy our properties from Central College
- Received fundraising pledge commitments and determined fundraising amount that can be used for project budget
- Determined preliminary loan amount that can be used for project budget
- Revised project budget
- Completed building design scenarios based on project budget options
- Presented update and options to congregation during November 26 quarterly meeting
- Met with church council and Pat Dever, ELCA building consultant, to discuss status and how to proceed
August 21, 2006
The RST celebrated their 1 1/2 year anniversary by traveling to Clive along with spouses and friends and toured Faith Lutheran Church. The group enjoyed fellowship together by going out to dinner, discussing the tour, and recognizing the team's accomplishments before returning to Pella

- The Building Team together with BVH, BC, and the Relocation Steering Team presented the master plan and conceptual drawings for the new facilities and an update on the relocation process during the quarterly meeting.

The members of Peace became the proud owners of nearly 14 acres of the Slycord property located on the east side of Pella

BVH/BC led a site planning workshop with our church council, RST, and building team members.

The RST celebrated their one year anniversary by traveling to West Des Moines along with spouses and parents and touring St Francis church, which was also designed and built by BVH and BC. The group enjoyed fellowship together by going out to dinner before returning to Pella

Peace Congregation voted to hire Bahr Vermeer, Haecker and Associates and Breiholz Construction as Architects and Construction Firm for the new design of Peace Lutheran Church.

The RST presented to the ELCA Southeast IA Synod Council during their meeting in Ames, IA and received unanimous approval to purchase the Slycord property and continue our relocation process
