Frequently Asked Questions

Everyone has questions and below are a few quick answers.

What Can I Expect?

Belonging. Come as your are and you can expect to be welcomed by a community genuinely pleased to see and help you. It's a casual and friendly environment where everyone is welcome, and everyone can belong.

What is the Music Like?

We sing a blend of hymns and contemporary worship songs as we praise God. Every Third Sunday of the month, our Praise Brand takes over the service, playing only modern praise music.

How Often Can I Come?

Come as often as you want! We meet every Sunday and even throughout the week with our small groups and bible studies.

Can I Meet New People?

Yes, meet new people every Sunday or throughout the week at a small group gathering or bible study. We have opportunities to meet others for young and old.

When and Where Do You Meet?

Every Sunday at 10 a.m. during the summer, our doors are open at 1000 Vermeer Road in Pella. You're also welcome to attend one of our events or small groups too! Services are at 10 a.m. during the school year.

Are My Children Welcome?

YES! Please do! We have a nursery space for little ones and children’s programming that begins at 9 a.m. And then they can stay for the 10 a.m. service which includes a child’s sermon. Plus, children’s worship activity bags are available as well as family tables in our fellowship hall for very active little ones.

What Do You Believe?

Our values are grounded in faith, in our biblical and Lutheran confessional sources and our love of God and neighbor. They speak to the way this church lives and practices our faith, and they will guide how we journey forward in Christ as church together.

Do You Study The Bible?

Yes, we do. The Bible is a complex book and the foundation for our faith. We have many Bible studies throughout the week for you to explore more about it’s teachings and lessons.

How Long is Church?

The service lasts a little over 60 minutes. You’re invited to stay afterward for a snack and meet others.

What Do I Wear?

Come as you are and in what is comfortable for you. We are a multi-generational church and you will see some us dressed up and others in jeans, even the pastor.
